Following the program Ski Camp, last Sunday the students could enjoy and learn with telemark was Escolà. The elegance of this approach allows not go unnoticed on tracks, and other station users show interest in it.

What is Telemark?

The most notable feature of this technique is that the heel is not fixed to the table, requiring almost kneeling on skis when making turns. This technique of skiing was born in 1825 from the hands of Sondre Norheim, considered the father of modern skiing. The name of this method comes from a region called Telemark Norway where Sondre invented this way of doing spins on the boards of skiing. From this moment skiing is no longer a livelihood and adaptation to natural conditions in certain regions and goes to build a proper sport.
